Ndlovu, who recently joined the Glamour Boys from SuperSport United, was unable to travel with the team due to delays in securing a Dutch visa. While he didn't feature in the five matches played in Europe, Nabi was pleased with the work the 27-year-old put in behind the scenes.
Speaking after Chiefs' penalty shootout loss to Asante Kotoko in the Toyota Cup at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Nabi shared how the technical team ensured Ndlovu stayed match-ready.
"It is true that Ndlovu was not part of the squad due to the timeline to get the visa," Nabi explained. "But we took the opportunity to work with him here. He trained under Majdi [Safi], and the work done was of a very high standard."
Despite not getting any friendly match exposure in Europe, Ndlovu featured in the goalless draw against the Ghanaian giants, marking his unofficial debut for Chiefs.
"Unfortunately, it was without friendly games because it wasn't possible," Nabi added. "But we feel it was a job well done."
Chiefs have confirmed six new signings ahead of the 2025/26 season, with Ndlovu joining Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett, Nkanyiso Shinga, Paseka Mako, and Thabiso Monyane.
With Nabi looking to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for silverware on all fronts, Ndlovu's professionalism and commitment have already made a strong impression at Naturena.
