Tebogo Potsane makes Kaizer Chiefs exit
Tebogo Potsane has parted ways with Kaizer Chiefs after two seasons with the Betway Premiership side.
The Soweto giants have added significant depth to their squad, with Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane both arriving from arch-rivals Orlando Pirates.
Siphesihle Ndlovu has joined from SuperSport United, while Ethan Chislett comes in from England. The club has also signed Nkanyiso Shinga from Portugal and striker Flavio Silva, who impressed during a spell in Indonesia.
Khune, a long-serving icon at Amakhosi, believes the arrivals signal a positive step forward for the club. He highlighted the experience and winning mentality Mako and Monyane bring from their time at Pirates, suggesting their presence could help transform the squad's mindset.
He was also encouraged by early signs from overseas arrivals Chislett and Shinga, describing their performances in training as "positive glimpses" of their potential contribution.
However, Khune urged supporters to be patient with Silva, noting that the Portuguese forward needs more time to adjust to life in South African football.
"When you talk about Paseka Mako and when you talk about Thabiso Monyane, they are bringing that winning mentality from Orlando Pirates," Khune said on SABC1.
"And I was quite impressed with the like of Shinga, Chislett, and of course we need to give Silva a fair turn.
"We only just debate him in the first games that we've seen him play but he's definitely going to show us what he can bring to South African football."
