Nasreddine Nabi embraces game-by-game mentality as Kaizer Chiefs target league title

After guiding the Soweto giants to the Nedbank Cup last season - Chiefs' first piece of silverware in ten years - the Tunisian coach is focused on maintaining momentum while managing expectations.

With Chiefs preparing to compete on multiple fronts, including the league, CAF Confederation Cup, Nedbank Cup, and Carling Knockout Cup, Nabi insists that consistency and focus will be key.

"We're not approaching this season with the mindset of only chasing the league title. Every competition matters, and our strategy is to take it one match at a time," said Nabi during the club's media open day prior to their 3-2 penalty shoot-out loss to Ghanaian opposition Asante Kotoko at the Moses Mabhida stadium this past weekend, as quoted by FarPost.

"The goal is to give our best every game. Maybe we'll win every match, maybe not  -  but the most important thing is to fight with everything we've got each time we step onto the pitch."

With a renewed sense of ambition, Amakhosi will be hoping Nabi's measured approach translates into a serious title challenge come May.
