Disappointed Musa Nyatama says Chippa United have to bounce back immediately

Nyatama, who was initially brought to the club as an assistant this season, has since replaced Sinethemba Badela as head coach and admits the changes had an impact on the team's performance against the Rockets.

The team had started the new season with a 1-1 draw at home to Mamelodi Sundowns and 1-0 away defeat to Durban City but Badela was cut lose after he reportedly fell out of favour with club management.

Khaya Mfecane had opened the scoring for Chippa at the Buffalo City Municipality Stadium after just five minutes on Tuesday but a hat-trick from Puso Dithejane alongside a goal from Mlungisi Mbunjabe sealed the one-sided result.

Speaking after the game, Nyatama said in the Sowetan: "Psychologically, it affected the players but I don't want to reiterate too much on that.

"We had a game to play and we needed to concentrate on the game and also as a technical team we needed to prepare the team very well.

"We need to bounce back when we play Richards Bay in our next match, we are disappointed that we lost at home."

Chippa have a week to prepare for an away trip to face a Richards Bay side who have lost all three of their opening games.
