Duncan Lechesa steps away from Venda Football Club

The former Polokwane City boss endured a torrid start to life in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this season.

Venda picked up just one point from their opening three games of the new campaign to leave them in 15th place on the league standings.

Rowan Hendricks will take charge in an interim capacity until a new head coach can be found.

A club statement read: "Venda Football Club wishes to announce the resignation of its head coach Duncan Lechesa with immediate effect.

"The club has accepted his resignation and wishes Coach Duncan all the best in his future endeavours.

“In the meantime, coach Rowan Hendricks will takeover in an acting capacity until further notice.”
