Edmilson Dove signs for Iraq Stars League side after Kaizer Chiefs exit

The 31-year-old Mozambique international centre-back spent three years with Amakhosi, playing 56 games, scoring two goals.

He was part of the team that beat Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final last season to end a 10 year long trophy drought, but was allowed to leave following the expiry of his contract.

Dove joined Chiefs after a brief stint with Mozambique side UD Songo, after his departure from Cape Town City, where he played over 100 games.

Following his Amakhosi exit, the player posted: "It's been a crazy ride in which I have grown not only as a player but also as a human being. We had our ups and downs; we have shed some tears along the way, but we also had joyful moments, which I will cherish forever."

Dove's new team announced the news of his signing with a post on social media.
