Cedric Kaze beaming after delivering beautiful cup final baby with Kaizer Chiefs
Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Cedric Kaze could hardly contain his excitement after lifting the Nedbank Cup trophy.
In what is his debut season with the Glamour Boys, the Uruguayan playmaker believes the team must shoulder full responsibility going into the decisive clash and be fully focused to avoid costly mistakes.
"I'm feeling good. It's a great opportunity to win a trophy - this is what I came here for," Sirino told the club's official website.
"Everyone, including myself, needs to take responsibility. We must play better than them and control the game. We did well against them last weekend but didn't get the result we wanted."
Chiefs narrowly lost 2-1 to Pirates in their last league encounter, but Sirino insists they must maintain intensity and eliminate errors to succeed in Saturday's final.
"We've played well in many games but have also made mistakes that cost us. We can't afford that in the final. Our concentration must be 100% from start to finish. This is a big chance to make history and end the season on a high."
Sirino also expressed empathy toward the frustration felt by the Amakhosi faithful, whose unwavering support has not been rewarded with silverware in recent years. He acknowledges the added pressure that comes with representing South Africa's most supported club.
"When you play for Kaizer Chiefs, it's different. The pressure is higher because the support is bigger - and so are the expectations.
"We know the fans weren't happy after the last result against Pirates, and rightly so. That's why we want to win this cup for them."
"I enjoy the pressure. It motivates me. We're preparing well and ready to rise to the occasion."
