Golden Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi reflects on missed chances against Stellenbosch

Devin Titus (14'), Lesiba Nku (70') and Thabo Moloisane (72') were all on target for the Cape Winelands club to no reply from Mngqithi's out of form Arrows.

For Abafana Bes'thende it was a second successive league defeat and a fourth match in a row without a victory.

The result saw Stellies end the weekend in fourth place on the standings with 44 points from 25 games, and left Arrows in 13th place with 26 points, level with 14th-placed Richards Bay, although with two games in hand.

Reflecting on the result, Mngqithi said on SuperSport: "I feel bad because in the last four games, I don't remember any game where we were dominated by the opponents.

"I think in all the games, we've had the better share of possession; we created some good chances.

"But unfortunately, if you don't take your chances, you are bound to concede silly goals like we did. We conceded a goal that was very scrappy against Marumo Gallants; we conceded the same goal against AmaZulu FC in the last match.

"And we conceded the ones that we conceded now [against Stellenbosch]. We missed sitters against Chippa United before that."
