The Durban based club begin their season against unknown PSL newcomers Siwelele FC in Bloemfontein before hosting their first KwaZulu-Natal derby four days later against Richards Bay.

Abafana Bes'thende then face newly promoted Durban City a week later before they host Magesi, who completed a double over Arrows in the 2024/25 Betway Premiership.

Three days later, the team will play Kaizer Chiefs at home, looking to inflict their third consecutive victory in league matches against the Soweto giants.

Arrows parted ways with wingers Tebogo Tlolane, 30, Blessing Mchunu, 25, defender Sicelokuhle Hlatshwayo, 31, and 28-year-old striker Ryan Moon, who has joined rivals AmaZulu during the off season.

However, the club has reinforced its squad by signing Ivorian striker Junior Dion, 31, his compatriot defender Oumar Coumara, 24, and five youngsters from the lower divisions.

Head coach Manqoba Mngqithi revealed to reporters at the Betway Premiership media launch that he was looking for a more energetic squad ahead of the new season.

"I think what was a challenge was that the team was old (last season)," said Mngqithi.

"For a mid-table team, you need to be a little bit more dynamic and work a little bit harder and those should probably be your main assets. This is a totally different team in profile and personnel, so I am just eager to see everything come together now."
