Kaizer Chiefs not done signing players, says Jessica Motaung
Kaizer Chiefs marketing director Jessica Motaung says fans can expect more signings before the new Betway Premiership season begins.
The Citizens were relegated for the first time in their history last term as they failed to navigate the promotion/relegation play-offs after ending their season in 15th place.
They dispensed with interim head coach Diogo Peral and have put their hopes of a return in Dutch former De Graafschap coach Vreman, after being unable to acquire a new top-flight status.
When questioned about the club's ambitions for the new season, the new coach told the City website: "Yes, of course, we have a good team. It's been a difficult year, but these are quality players and we will do everything to get this club to where it belongs.
"We want to play attractive football. Football that wins us games and earns the respect of fans and everyone that watches us. We want to fill the stands and give people a reason to show up and believe in us."
City are in the midst of a squad overhaul and have already announced the departures of a number of players, including captain Thamsanqa Mkhize, Thabo Nodada, Darwin Gonzalez, Darren Keet, Fortune Makaringe, Haashim Domingo, Elson Sithole and Kamohelo Mokotjo.
