Jeremie Frimpong returns while Florian Wirtz injured for Liverpool's West Ham clash

Frimpong, sidelined for five matches after a groin injury suffered in the Champions League win over Qarabag on January 29, trained fully this week. Slot said when asked about the his availability:
"Jeremie is. He trained with us a few times this week. He is available."

In contrast, Wirtz, who injured his back during the warm‑up before last Sunday's 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest, will miss the game. Slot admitted:
"I don't expect Florian to be available. That is a disappointment. It's not something that I expected after last week and that's sometimes how things evolve."

When asked about Wirtz's return, the Liverpool manager added: "At this moment of time, no. I honestly don't know."

Slot praised the midfielder's professionalism, noting: "In my opinion it's a really big accomplishment that he stayed fit for so long with the step he made to the Premier League."

Liverpool will also be without long‑term absentees Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Wataru Endo and Alexander Isak for the clash with the Hammers.

The Reds go into the game sitting sixth in the table, level on points with fifth‑place Chelsea and three points behind Manchester United in fourth. West Ham are 18th, two points from safety.

Slot will rely on Frimpong's return to restore balance to his defence, while the absence of Wirtz will test Liverpool's creativity in midfield.
