Tah joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen in June 2025, signing a contract until 2029, and has enjoyed the training sessions under Kompany.
"There are drills where he joins in or briefly demonstrates something. Not for very long, though. He makes a lot of corrections, and that makes you realize the details he pays attention to," Tah told Sky Germany.
"These details can be tiny, but if you change them, the risk of conceding a goal is much lower. Just because you've adjusted a position. That's really impressive
"Many details, but also how important it is to communicate on the pitch. That's what he expects from me, but he emphasizes again and again how much you can compensate for with that.
"When the team is compact, when we have to defend deep, when the right time is to press high. The kind of communication he teaches us makes a huge difference on the pitch."
Since his arrival, the 29-year-old German international has quickly established himself as a cornerstone of the Bavarian defence.
Wearing the number 4 shirt, Tah has been a consistent presence in the 2025/2026 season. He has made over 30 appearances across all competitions, including the Bundesliga, Champions League, and DFB-Pokal.
His impact has not been limited to defending; he has contributed offensively with 3 goals and 2 assists across all club competitions.
Tah's leadership and aerial strength have helped Bayern maintain a strong position at the top of the Bundesliga table.
