Kaizer Chiefs announce three new players ahead of European tour

The Soweto giants revealed their new acquisitions on social media on Tuesday as they look to improve the squad ahead of their return to continental football next season.

Amakhosi confirmed left-back Nkanyiso Shinga, attacking midfielder Ethan Chislett and Portuguese striker have joined the club and will join the rest of the club for the pre-season tour in the Netherlands.

The Durban born duo of 25-year-old Shinga and Chislett, 26, return from their respective spells in Europe and will be making their first appearances in the Premier Soccer League.

The Guinea Bissau-born Silva joins the Glamour Boys after an impressive spell at Persebaya Surabaya in Indonesia, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in the 2024/25 season.

According to the club website, these three signings and more that will follow "reflect the Club's commitment to improving the squad depth and overall performance for the 2025/26 season."

The trio will travel with rest of the squad to the Netherlands on Thursday, 3 July ahead of the first friendly match against Eredivisie side Vitesse on 8 July.
