Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi bemoans dropped Soweto derby points

Makabi Lilepo opened the scoring for Amakhosi at the FNB Stadium after just two minutes.

But Evidence Makgopa levelled with 24 minutes played before Relebohile Mofokeng netted a 69th minute winner.

Bradley Cross was, meanwhile, dismissed in the first minute of stoppage time at the end of the game.

Nabi felt his charges were due a penalty after taking the lead, when Mbekezeli Mbokazi fouled Mduduzi Shabalala in the area, but the potential spot-kick was waved away by the referee.

Reflecting on the loss, that left his side in ninth place on the Betway Premiership standings, the Chiefs boss told SuperSport: "I don't think it's a psychological thing.

"When we were leading 1-0 there was a clear penalty. If we get the penalty the game is going to be completely different."

Nabi added: "It was individual mistakes that gave the opportunity to the opponent. We feel today we gave the victory to the opponent."

Chiefs play Pirates again next Saturday in the Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
