TS Galaxy unveil new players, including Kaizer Chiefs duo days before MTN8 opener
TS Galaxy have strengthened their squad ahead of the new season by signing two youngsters from Kaizer Chiefs - Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi and Siyabonga Nguessan.
The 27-year-old left back joined Amakhosi from Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in July 2024, but found it difficult to cement a regular place in the starting XI under a rotating cast of coaches.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the club confirmed the player's departure.
"After just one season, Kaizer Chiefs have amicably agreed to part ways with defender Bongani Sam. The Gqeberha native joined the team from Orlando Pirates in July 2024," the club wrote on their official Facebook page.
"Wishing Bongani all the best."
The Gqeberha-born defender made limited appearances in gold and black, as competition for places and tactical changes hampered his ability to establish himself in the team. With a major rebuild underway at Naturena, the decision was made to move in a different direction.
Sam becomes the latest player to exit as the Glamour Boys look to reshape their squad under new leadership in hopes of ending their lengthy trophy drought.
