Mbulelo Wagaba put the Mswenko Boys ahead at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium after 21 minutes.
Wandile Duba restored parity four minutes before the half-time break and Mduduzi Shabalala put Chiefs ahead for the first time with his goal on 67 minutes.
Siphephele Ndlovu then sealed a third Premiership win in a row for Amakhosi with his strike 10 minutes later.
The result saw Chiefs move back up into third place on the league standings with 39 points from 21 games.
Orbit College are down in 15th place with 18 points from 23 games, four clear of bottom-side Magesi.
Maboe picked up the Man-of-the-Match Award for his performance, and speaking to SuperSport after the game, he praised Amakhosi for their spirted fight-back.
"We never gave up, we kept pushing and believe we could turn the game around," said Maboe.
"This (award) goes to the hard work the team is putting in, helping one another. We are all pulling in the same direction I just happened to receive the award."
"We knew we didn't start well, added Maboe. "It was a matter of saying, 'hey gents, wake up! Get the first goal and then push to get the second and the third'.
"We noticed they were getting tired in the second half so we said 'let's keep wanting and demanding more from each other'"
