Lewandowski deflects transfer talk as Barcelona close in on La Liga title

The veteran striker, whose current deal runs until June, has been linked with a possible exit despite being offered a renewal. However, Lewandowski made it clear that no final decision has been taken.

“We still have a little time,” he said. “The club knows what I think and I have had time to think. I don’t want to talk about offers and my future. The remaining games and the goals are more important.”

Barcelona are eager to secure the title as quickly as possible, but Lewandowski stressed that outside noise will not distract the squad.

“Something new comes out in the press every day, but that is not important,” he added.

The striker also reflected on the club’s recent Champions League exit to Atletico Madrid, admitting the defeat still lingers.

“It always hurts,” Lewandowski said. “We tried until the end. We fought, we wanted to win and be in the semi-finals. But that’s football.”

Despite the setback, the Poland international believes Barcelona must respond immediately in the league.

“Now we have to concentrate on La Liga. We have a few games left and we want to win it,” he explained. “We have great potential and players who always want to win. Football is not always fair, but we must think about what we can still do.”

Barcelona return to action against Celta Vigo on April 22 at the Spotify Camp Nou, before travelling to face Getafe CF three days later. With the title within reach, Lewandowski’s message is clear: focus on the present, and the future will follow.
