Luke Baartman and Asanele Velebayi finally cleared to play for Kaizer Chiefs

The pair were summer signings but have had to wait for clearance by FIFA to turn out for Amakhosi.

Cape Town Spurs had been fighting for compensation for the two players, who were both declared free agents by the Premier Soccer League Dispute Resolution Chamber, and free to join Amakhosi.

They are now avaialable for selection for the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round clash against AS Simba, along with Mfundo Vilakazi.

A club statement read: "Mfundo Vilakazi and Luke Baartman return from duty at the U20 World Cup in Chile.

“Baartman and Asanele Velebayi have also been cleared to play after finalisation of their appealed cases, adding depth to the squad for the upcoming matches.”
