Betway Premiership: Five takeaways from the week's PSL action
We take a look at five talking points from the Betway Premiership action last week where valuable points and goals led to surprising shifts on the table.

The experienced former Platinum Stars, Highlands Park and Richards Bay boss was brought in to replace John Maduka at the beginning of 2026 with the club floundering at the bottom of the Betway Premiership standings.
In his four games in charge of Magesi, Freese has overseen three draws and one loss, including a 1-1 stalemate away to Stellenbosch, 2-0 reverse at home against Polokwane City, 0-0 draw away to AmaZulu and Saturday's 2-2 tie with Chippa United.
The three points have lifted Freese's team onto 14 points but they remain rock-bottom of the league, some four points adrift of 14th-placed Marumo Gallants and Orbit College in 15th place.
Speaking after his side fought back from two goals down to secure a 2-2 at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday afternoon, Freese acknowledged that results have been hard to come by with motivation at an all-time low.
"Well, my job was to motivate the players and help them get to another level, which I'm doing, as you can see," said Freese on SuperSport.
"Yes, the fact that we haven't won games in so many matches isn't good.
"Okay, today was my fourth game, so four games and three points—not good, hey? Not good at all. Out of a possible 12 points, we got three, so I'm supposed to be fired."
Magesi are next in action away to Kaizer Chiefs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 21 March.
