Former Orlando Pirates defender Wayde Jooste signs for Motsepe Foundation Championship side Highbury
Motsepe Foundation Championship side Highbury FC have snapped up former Orlando Pirates defender Wayde Jooste.

The 27-year-old spent the last six months with Casric Stars after joining the Mpumalanga-based outfit in January 2026. He was brought in to help Casric secure promotion to the Betway Premiership, but the club fell short of its objective, finishing fourth in the league standings.
Thikazi now becomes the latest addition to the Citizens' squad, joining a growing list of new signings that includes Thabang Monare, Parslie Fielies and Marcelo Suarez.
Cape Town City are determined to mount a stronger promotion challenge this season after narrowly missing out on an immediate return to the Betway Premiership.
The Citizens finished in second place in the MFC standings last season before suffering disappointment in the promotion playoffs, which were eventually won by Milford FC.
With several experienced additions arriving during the transfer window, City will be hoping Thikazi's attacking qualities can play a key role in helping the club achieve promotion back to South Africa's top flight.
