Former Orlando Pirates defender Wayde Jooste signs for Motsepe Foundation Championship side Highbury
Motsepe Foundation Championship side Highbury FC have snapped up former Orlando Pirates defender Wayde Jooste.

Buthelezi's exit comes after the shot-stopper struggled for regular game time at Pirates, with Sipho Chaine firmly establishing himself as the club's first-choice goalkeeper.
The former TS Galaxy keeper spent three seasons with the Soweto giants after joining the club in 2023. However, he managed only 22 appearances during his time with the Buccaneers, keeping 12 clean sheets.
"The Club extends its sincere gratitude to Melusi Buthelezi for his professionalism, commitment, and contribution throughout his time with Orlando Pirates," Pirates confirmed.
"We wish him every success in this next chapter of his career."
Buthelezi joins a long list of players who have exited Pirates, including Relebohile Mofokeng, Gilberto, Karim Kimvuidi, Thabiso Lebitso, Tshegofatso Mabasa, Sipho Mbule, Bandile Shandu, Gomolemo Khoto, Siyabonga Ndlozi, Thabiso Sesane, Selaelo Rasebotja, Sonwabo Khumalo, Blessing Ngiba and Seth Green.
The Buccaneers have, however, also moved to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Pirates have brought in Mthetheleli Mthiyane from Stellenbosch FC, Sbangani Zulu from Richards Bay, as well as Bohale Ngwato, Ghampani Lungu, Neo Rapoo and Aphiwe Baliti from Siwelele. Matome Mmolai has also joined from Leicesterford City.
Buthelezi's departure could now force Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou to assess his goalkeeping options ahead of the new season.
With Chaine currently leading the race for the number one jersey, Ouaddou will be eager to ensure there is strong competition in the goalkeeping department.
Ethan Visagie, Siyabonga Dladla and young keeper Bayanda Zulu are among the other options available, but the Buccaneers could still look for another goalkeeper capable of challenging Chaine for a regular starting place.
