Moises Caicedo remains committed to Chelsea despite Real Madrid rumours

Moises Caicedo remains committed to Chelsea despite Real Madrid rumours

Speaking during a recent media interaction, the Ecuador international firmly dismissed suggestions he could be on his way to the Spanish capital, reiterating his commitment to Chelsea.

Caicedo, widely regarded as one of the club's key figures, made it clear he remains focused on his role in west London despite mounting external interest.

Reports linking him with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu have emerged amid growing concern within Madrid's hierarchy over the quality of their current midfield options.

Under the guidance of club president Florentino Perez, the Spanish giants are expected to prioritise reinforcements in the engine room ahead of next season.

As part of that strategy, Real Madrid have reportedly drawn up a shortlist of elite midfield targets from across Europe.

Both Caicedo and his Chelsea teammate Enzo Fernández are said to feature prominently among those under consideration, highlighting the club's intent to secure proven, high-calibre talent.

However, Caicedo's latest comments suggest any move is unlikely in the immediate future. While interest from Madrid remains credible given their recruitment plans, the midfielder's stance indicates he is not entertaining an exit at this stage.

"I want to become a Chelsea legend," said Caicedo, according to Fabrizio Romano.

"I'm under contract at Chelsea and my focus is on Chelsea and Ecuador."
