Magesi FC defeat Cape Town City in PSL promotion/relegation playoff
Cape Town City's promotion/relegation playoff campaign took another damaging blow after they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Magesi FC at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Central Americans, ranked 131st in the world, produced a disciplined display to frustrate South Africa, with the hosts unable to find a breakthrough despite creating several opportunities. Lyle Foster came closest to scoring but saw his first-half stoppage-time penalty saved.
While the result extended Bafana's winless run to four matches, it represented a positive outcome for Nicaragua, who had suffered six defeats in their previous eight outings.
Speaking after the match, Cruz Real was full of praise for the South African team and insisted there is a significant gap in quality between the two squads.
"South Africa is a great team and has very good players," said the Nicaragua coach.
"I know most of them play in the local league, and the South African league is a good competition. Also, don't forget you have a player playing in the Premier League. So the quality of the South African squad compared to us is a huge difference. But I see South Africa as a very good team."
The Argentine coach highlighted the technical ability within Broos' squad as one of the team's greatest strengths.
"They are very good technically. Some players have huge technical ability and are very talented," he added.
South Africa have already secured qualification for next year's World Cup and Cruz Real believes the current generation has what it takes to compete strongly on football's biggest stage.
"I think you have chances to compete very well in the World Cup," he concluded.
The encouraging assessment from an opposing coach will come as a boost for Broos and his players as they continue their preparations for the global showpiece.
