"Not good enough", says Cape Town City boss Diogo Peral after play-off stalemate

The Betway Premiership side was unable to breach the defence of their Motsepe Foundation Championship opponents as they played to a goalless draw at the Cape Town Stadium.

The Citizens find themselves in second place on the group standings with one point, while Orbit have two points, following their previous 0-0 stalemate against Casric Stars.

Speaking after the game, a disappointed Peral told SuperSport: "It was not good enough.

"It was not what we wanted, at home you need results, you need three points. It was a fair result, both teams had similar chances. Now we need to go on the road and get points.

"I don't know if we created enough (chances) at home. We need to create more problems."

Peral's charges are next in action away to Stars at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Wednesday.

The coach added: "It will be a different game, away from home.

“Casric are a more direct kind of threat. They are the kind of team we struggle against and we have to do our homework.”
