Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro: "We are trying to fight for each and every game this season"

The Buccaneers won the past two Nedbank Cups, and have been in fine form this season. They are currently in second place in the Betway Premiership.

Riveiro's side are also into the knockout round of the CAF Champions League, having already won the MTN8, for the second season in a row, while also losing to Magesi in the final of the Carling Knockout Cup.

They head into Saturday's cup clash against the Motsepe Foundation Championship side on the back of a 4-1 humbling by league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Ahead of this weekend's clash, the Bucs boss explained that his team are used to the pressure of playing on multiple fronts.

He said on IOL: "There is pressure for us in every game and in every training session; there is always pressure, but it's good for us.

"It's something that is normal because every time we go into the field, people expect us to win – and sometimes not just winning, but sometimes it goes beyond the capacity to win games.

"There is no extra pressure because we won the competition last season. That is the past, and we are writing another chapter of our time together here.

"We want to be victorious and continue having the possibility of playing finals – and so far, we are doing well.

"We are running our own race. We are fighting. We already have one trophy in our cabinet this season.

"We are trying to fight for each and every game and competition this season."
