Sandile Zungu insists there won't be January exits for AmaZulu
AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu has played down the prospect of a major player exodus as the club enjoy an impressive opening to the 2026/2027 campaign.

Bafana Bafana internationals Evidence Makgopa and Thalente Mbatha have both returned to full-team training after lengthy spells on the sidelines. Makgopa has been recovering from patellar tendinitis since 5 August, while Mbatha has been unavailable since 10 August with a knee problem.
Mohau Nkota and Andre de Jong have made further progress in their respective recoveries, moving into field-based rehabilitation. Both players have also appeared in friendly matches, although they are still building towards full match fitness and have no confirmed return dates.
Meanwhile, 30-year-old Sihle Nduli has begun running after completing the latest phase of his rehabilitation. He is expected to spend around two weeks on field-based work before rejoining team training.
"After missing the opening stages of the 2026/27 season, Bafana Bafana internationals Evidence Makgopa and Thalente Mbatha have returned to full-team training following their recovery from their respective injuries," the Pirates statement read.
