Report: Amine Adli's Premier League move from Bayer Leverkusen to Bournemouth done

The 25-year-old winger, known for his versatility and flair, is set to embark on a new chapter in the Premier League, but Leverkusen's search for a replacement could delay his move.

Sky Sports and Foot Mercato reported that Bournemouth have finalized personal terms with Adli, who agreed to a five-year contract running until 2030. The transfer fee includes performance-related add-ons, reflecting the high expectations for the Moroccan international.

Adli, who joined Leverkusen from Toulouse for just 7 million euros in 2021, has made 142 appearances for the German side, scoring 23 goals and providing 24 assists, including a standout 2023/24 season with 10 goals and 12 assists.

"Amine has been a key part of our success," said Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes, acknowledging the player's contributions to their historic Bundesliga title and DFB-Pokal triumph.

Adli's desire for a fresh challenge intensified after a season disrupted by a broken fibula, which limited him to six Bundesliga starts. "He's determined to get back to his best ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations," noted journalist Florian Plettenberg on X, highlighting Adli's ambition to shine on home soil for Morocco.

The winger, capped 15 times for the Atlas Lions, expressed his intent to join Bournemouth, with negotiations now hinging on Leverkusen securing a replacement. "Talks are advanced, but Leverkusen want to ensure they're covered," Plettenberg added.

Leverkusen have targeted AS Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche and Eliesse Ben Seghir as potential successors, with Foot Mercato reporting ongoing discussions.

Akliouche, a dynamic attacking midfielder, has been a long-term target, while Ben Seghir's versatility makes him another strong candidate. "We're actively looking at reinforcements," Rolfes said, emphasizing Leverkusen's proactive approach in the transfer market.

Bournemouth's pursuit of Adli aligns with their ambition to bolster their attacking options under manager Andoni Iraola. The Cherries have already added goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, left-back Adrien Truffert, and centre-back Bafode Diakite this summer, signaling their intent to climb the Premier League table.

Adli's arrival could also trigger a transfer domino effect, with Bournemouth's Dango Ouattara linked to Brentford, who in turn are eyeing a replacement for Newcastle-bound Yoane Wissa, per OneFootball.

Adli showcased his quality in Leverkusen's recent 4-0 DFB-Pokal win, assisting Patrik Schick's opening goal before bidding an emotional farewell to fans. "It was a special moment," Adli said of the gesture, reflecting on his four-year spell with the club.

With 15 international caps and a hunger to prove himself, Adli is poised to make an impact in England, provided Leverkusen finalize their recruitment plans.
