Report: Bayern Munich join transfer battle for Real Madrid's Rodrygo

The Brazilian forward, who joined Los Blancos in 2019, has seen his role diminished in recent months. Initially falling out of favour under Carlo Ancelotti, the trend appears to be continuing under incoming manager Xabi Alonso, prompting speculation that a summer exit is on the cards.

Real Madrid are reportedly open to parting ways with Rodrygo for the right price and are believed to be seeking around 100 million euros - a figure Bayern are reportedly willing to meet, according to AS journalist Edu Burgos.

Bayern have made acquiring a top-tier winger a priority, especially in light of Jamal Musiala's injury. Their initial efforts were focused on Liverpool's Luis Diaz, but a 67.5 million euro offer was rejected by the Premier League side, who remain unwilling to sell the Colombian international.

With their Diaz pursuit stalled, the Bundesliga champions have turned their attention to Rodrygo, a player admired by Bayern's recruitment team for his pace, versatility, and Champions League pedigree.

However, the situation could become even more complex. Should Liverpool lose Díaz, they may escalate their own interest in Rodrygo. The Reds, along with Arsenal, have already shown concrete interest in the Brazilian, with super-agent Pini Zahavi reportedly acting as an intermediary.

After six years at the Santiago Bernabeu - including three Champions League titles - Rodrygo's time in Madrid may be nearing its end. Whether he lands in the Premier League or the Bundesliga remains to be seen, but a high-profile move appears increasingly likely before the window closes.
