Report: Liverpool target Bradley Barcola, Yan Diomande to replace Mohamed Salah

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Bradley Barcola and Yan Diomande have emerged as Liverpool's two priority options to replace the Egyptian star at Anfield.

Salah brought the curtain down on his legendary nine-year spell with Liverpool on Sunday, making his final appearance in a 1-1 draw against Brentford. Attention has now shifted towards identifying the club's next marquee attacking figure ahead of the off-season transfer window.

Romano believes both Barcola and Diomande are expected to change clubs this off-season. Barcola's future at Paris Saint-Germain has become increasingly uncertain after the winger lost his place in manager Luis Enrique's preferred starting line-up.

Diomande, meanwhile, has attracted strong interest following an impressive campaign with RB Leipzig. PSG are also reportedly keen on signing the forward, and a move for Diomande to Paris could potentially pave the way for Barcola to head to Liverpool. Arsenal are also said to be monitoring Barcola's situation.

Liverpool are additionally tracking highly rated Kennet Eichhorn of Hertha BSC, although Brexit regulations prevent English clubs from signing overseas players under 18 immediately.

The 16-year-old midfielder could agree a pre-contract this off-season but would only officially join Liverpool after turning 18 in July 2027.

According to Sky Germany, Eichhorn intends to leave Hertha this off-season and has a release clause valued between 10 million and 12 million euros.

Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, and PSG have all been linked with the teenager.
