Report: Tottenham ready to battle Liverpool for Marc Guehi

The 25-year-old England international, who has one year remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park, is admired by both Premier League giants. Guehi was previously the subject of a 70-million-pound bid from Spurs in January, which Palace rejected.

However, the South London club are now reportedly open to selling their skipper for around 50 million pounds.

Liverpool's interest in Guehi comes amid an active window. The Reds are finalising the 79-million-pound signing of Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt, with the striker set to undergo a medical on Tuesday.

Following that deal, Liverpool may continue spending - though they are unlikely to pursue Guehi unless Palace lower their asking price.
