Santos set for surprise switch from Chelsea to Man United

The 22-year-old Brazilian will move to the Red Devils on a five-year deal with an option to another year, with United set to pay £48million plus £2million in possible add-ons.

Santos arrived at Stamford Bridge from Vasco da Gama in January 2023 but spent the first few seasons on loan spells at Nottingham Forest and French Ligue 1 side Strasbourg.

He eventually made his first team debut for the Blues during the successful inaugural 2025 Club World Cup title win, going on to make 47 appearances for the club, scoring three goals and providing five assists.

Newcastle United were also reportedly interested in signing the Brazilian who narrowly missed out of Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The young midfielder is said to have personally requested to leave the London based club in pursuit of a new chapter in Manchester. Chelsea will also have a 10 percent sell-on fee.
