Sead Ramovic calls on Young Africans to improve CAF Champions League form

Yanga are currently in second place on the Tanzanian League standngs with 13 wins from their opening 15 games.

They are a point behind leaders Simba and most recently defeated Singida Big Stars 5-0.

Ramovic's team are, however, bottom of Group A in the Champions League with one draw and two losses from their opening three games.

They have endured a hectic schedule and are next in action in a group stage match with TP Mazembe, who have two points from three games.

Ramovic said in the Guardian: "We are working hard to translate our form into the CAF Champions League. It’s a learning curve, but we are determined to improve.

"Imagine playing four games in ten days with this kind of high intensity. What a team effort, what characters we have in our squad it’s just unbelievable.

"I'm proud to be the head coach of this beautiful team and these players because they show real commitment to this club."

Ramovic added: "It's not just about the outcomes; it's about the intensity and getting the fitness levels I want. We want to play high-intensity, rock-and-roll football, never letting the opponent breathe. We are not there yet, but we are on the right track."
