New look Amazulu set for tough test against Stellenbosch in MTN8 clash
Amazulu will look to end a five-match winless run in their MTN8 quarter-final against last year's cup runners-up Stellenbosch at the DHL Stadium on Sunday.
Dladla was most recently employed as head coach of Durban City, who he led to the Betway Premiership as champions of the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
City dispensed with Dladla in order to appoint a manager with top-flight experience, and a number of outlets are suggesting that former SuperSport United boss Gavin Hunt is in line for the job.
Usuthu, meanwhile, were quick to snap up the former Uthongathi boss to work with fellow assistant Sboniso Vilakazi.
A club statement read: "AmaZulu Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Simo Dladla to the senior technical team as assistant coach under Head Coach Arthur Zwane.
"Dladla joins Usuthu fresh off a successful campaign, having recently guided Durban City FC to promotion into the Betway Premiership just a month ago.
"He is no stranger to AmaZulu, having donned the green and white jersey during his playing days, making this a meaningful return to familiar grounds."
Dladla expressed his excitement at the move, saying: "I am extremely pleased with this opportunity in my career. AmaZulu FC is a big club with great ambitions. I look forward to contributing to the project."
