According to media reports, Makgalwa is in demand in Tanzania following his impressive exploits for Babina Noko, where he has scored six goals and provided 20 assists in 66 matches for the club.
Simba coach Steve Barker is admirer of the playmaker and has already worked with South Africans players [Neo Maema, Runshine De Reuck] who were on loan at the club from Mamelodi Sundowns last season.
However, the Red Lions and Yanga have yet to make a formal approach for the 29-year-old but are expected to contact the South African club for negotiations soon, with United thought to be open to selling Makgalwa.
The Limpopo based club are undergoing a major squad and technical team revamp, with former Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze taking over at the helm with a number of high-profile players also leaving the club including top goal poacher Bradley Grobler.
