Bradley Grobler nets a double as Sekhukhune United sink Kaizer Chiefs
Bradley Grobler hit a brace as Sekhukhune United went to the top of the Betway Premiership standings after a 3-1 victory against Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium.
The new Usuthu signing has showed his potential in his first few appearances for the club in the pre-season KZN Premier's Cup and has already scored twice after five Betway Premiership matches.
However, Ngwenya has been guilty of missing a number of chances as well in the last two matches, which both ended 1-1 against Sekhukhune United and Magesi.
The former FC Platinum striker opened up on his experience in the PSL since joining the Durban based side from the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League.
"Betway is different from the Zimbabwean League," said Ngwenya.
"It's so fast and competitive, and I’m adjusting well. I think I'm going to score many goals."
Usuthu are currently on a three-match unbeaten run but face a daunting task in the next league clash against Stellenbosch, who haven't lost to AmaZulu in seven consecutive matches.
"We're going to fight for everything, we're going to fight for a win, fight for our coach, fight for our fans," added the Zimbabwe international.
The 22-year-old recently featured in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier 1-0 loss to Rwanda after having been an unused substitute in the 1-0 defeat against Benin a few days earlier.
Ngwenya is likely to start when AmaZulu host Stellies at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday.
Kick-off is at 19h30.
