Thapelo Mokobodi determined to make his mark at Orlando Pirates following Stellenbosch switch
The 23-year-old was rewarded with his impressive performances in an otherwise difficult season for Stellies last term with a three-year deal with the Betway Premiership champions.
The Buccaneers welcomed the new arrival to the club with a post on their social media accounts, saying: "Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Thapelo Mokobodi from Stellenbosch FC, ahead of the new Betway Premiership campaign."
Mokobodi had joined Stellies after two seasons with Marumo Gallants, where he helped club secure promotion to the Betway Premiership.
Speaking after completing all the formalities ahead of the move, an excited Mokobodi expressed his eager desire to make an impression with his new team.
"I am pleased to be here and look forward to meeting the rest of the team," said Mokobodi.
"It's a big opportunity to play for such a club and I am ready to get going. I would like to make a meaningful contribution to this great institution."
