Tottenham's Thomas Frank chuffed to have Ben Davies back for Forest tie

Tottenham's Thomas Frank chuffed to have Ben Davies back for Forest tie

Speaking before the match at the City Ground, Frank confirmed there were no new injury concerns following Tottenham's comfortable Champions League victory over Slavia Praha in midweek.

"Everyone that was available for Slavia will be available for Forest," said Frank.

That European success followed a productive spell domestically, with Spurs recording a win and a draw in the Premier League last week. As a result, Tottenham have taken seven points from the last nine available across all competitions, a run of form that appears to have restored belief within the squad.

Frank also provided a positive update on Ben Davies, who has returned to full fitness and is available for selection.

"It's really good to have Ben back out there and playing minutes. His first of the season," said Frank.

The experienced defender had been sidelined for several weeks after sustaining an injury while on international duty with Wales in October. His return offers additional depth and flexibility at the back as the fixture list continues to intensify.

However, Dominic Solanke remains unavailable, and Frank acknowledged there is still no clear timetable for the striker's return, with the club continuing to manage his recovery carefully.

"The injury he picked up in July, it's dragged on for while. When he is training fully, I'll have news," added Frank.

On the opposition, Frank is expecting a stern test from a Nottingham Forest side that has become harder to beat under manager Sean Dyche.

While Forest are still battling relegation, their recent improvement and resilience, particularly at home, suggest they will pose a significant challenge.
