Speaking at a press conference in Rabat on Saturday ahead of Morocco's opening Group A clash against Comoros at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Regragui said his players understand the magnitude of the task ahead.
"We know how big this responsibility is. Our goal is to win the trophy, and the players are ready to give everything in this important African competition," the Morocco coach was quoted by Moroccoworldnews.
Despite Morocco being widely tipped as one of the tournament favourites, the coach stressed the importance of maintaining focus and composure, starting with the opening fixture.
"We are taking the competition one match at a time, beginning with Comoros," he explained.
"Every match is important because we represent Morocco. Expectations are high, but the players must remain calm, confident and respectful of the opponent."
Regragui also addressed late injury concerns within the squad, insisting adaptability and collective readiness are key, and highlighted the strong mentality within the group, saying belief and hunger remain central to their ambitions.
"These things happen in tournaments. We've been preparing together for a long time, and these situations push everyone to be ready. Every player selected must be prepared to do his job," he said
"We have the desire and belief to win," he added. "We want to keep this mindset so Moroccan football continues to stay at the top and fight for titles."
While acknowledging the pressure that comes with hosting the tournament, Regragui believes it can be turned into an advantage and made an appeal to the Moroccan supporters, urging them to play their part during matches.
"Yes, there is pressure, but it's positive. It helps us manage our effort, our game and our mental strength better," he added.
"We want fans who come to support the team, not just to take photos or eat sweets."
