Chanda Mukuka has bid farewell to ZESCO United after five successful years with the Zambia Super League club.
ZESCO United appoint Mwenya Chipepo as head coach
The former Power Dynamos, Prison Leopards, Indeni, Forest Rangers and Nkana FC head coach is joined by Tenant Chembo as first assistant.
According to reports, Chipepo was ZESCO's second choice after Nchanga Rangers boss George Lwandamina failed to agree a deal.
Mwape Mwelwa has been confirmed as second assistant, with Winston Kalengo and Kondwani Mtonga holding conditioning coach roles, alongside goalkeeper coach Jacob Banda.
Kabamba Kalande retains his post as team manager while Abidan Chansa and Stephen Mbewe continue in their roles as team doctor and team clinician.
According to Soccer Africa : "The appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for ZESCO United as the club prepares for the upcoming transitional league campaign and looks to build a competitive squad and technical structure capable of challenging for honours.
"Chipepo's immediate task will be to establish his methods and identity within a side that has traditionally carried significant expectations in Zambian football."
ZESCO have, meanwhile, strengthened their squad with the signings of Kennedy Musonda, Brice Sindjo,Happy Nsiku, Antony Shipanuka, Patrick Chooma, Yves Allarabaye, Gilbert Tetani and John Mulenga.
