Zimbabwean star Tawanda Maswanhise linked with Anderlecht switch

According to reports in Scotland, the Belgian side are back in the race for the Warriors forward after having a bid rejected during the January transfer window, as reported by soccer24.co.zw.

Anderlecht had reportedly tabled an offer earlier in the year, but Motherwell turned it down as they pushed for a European qualification place.

Maswanhise enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in the Scottish Premiership, scoring 17 league goals to finish as the division’s top scorer this season.

The 23-year-old joined Motherwell from Leicester City in August 2024 after leaving the English outfit at the expiry of his contract. Since making the move to Scotland, he has established himself as one of the club’s key attacking players while also becoming a regular feature for the Zimbabwe national team.

Reports further indicate that Motherwell are demanding around four million GBP for the Zimbabwean forward, with Anderlecht eager to conclude a deal early in order to avoid competition from other clubs during the upcoming transfer window.
