Langer family pips Tiger and Charlie Woods in playoff thriller at PNC Championship

The 67-year-old Langer sealed the victory with a decisive putt in Florida, denying the crowd-favorite duo their win. Despite the loss, Tiger and Charlie had plenty of reasons to stay optimistic.

"It was awesome, no one made a mistake today. It's the most fun I've ever had," Charlie said.

Earlier in the day, Charlie made history with his first-ever hole-in-one on the par-3 fourth hole, igniting wild celebrations.

Already positioned among the tournament leaders, the teenager stepped up for his tee shot. In a remarkable moment, the ball landed just feet from the hole before bouncing straight in — to Charlie's own amazement.

Standing back on the fourth tee, Charlie looked around in disbelief, asking if the ball had indeed gone in. Once confirmed, Tiger was the first to rush over and celebrate with him.

The iconic duo shared a heartfelt bear hug on the tee, with Tiger beaming with pride at his son's incredible achievement.

"That was one of the highlights we have ever had," Tiger said. "Before that he made his first eagle.

"It was a dream two-hole stretch. As Charlie said, no one made a mistake today."

Regarding his overall health for playing golf, Woods was quick to downplay any suggestion he was ready for competitive action.

"I'm nowhere near competitive shape, I'm a great scramble partner," he said.

Tiger's daughter, Sam, joined as their caddie on Sunday, adding a family touch to the tournament.
