Gavin Hunt: I need a team where I can settle

The 60-year-old former Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs head coach was sacked by SuperSport United last season with the club struggling in the Betway Premiership.

As a player he spent 14 years at Hellenic, while as a manager he enjoyed long stints in charge of both SuperSport (during his first spell) and Wits, before brief tenures with Amakhosi and Chippa United.

Now having spent three seasons with Matsatsantsa, Hunt explained that he wants is next job to be long-term project.

Hunt told the Sowetan: "I would like to get back and work again, but I don't like all the uncertainty moving around like we did since Wits. It has been a problem.

"I mean, I played for one team for 14 years, Hellenic, now you are moving around and I don't like that. I need a team where I can settle."

Durban City are looking for an experience campaigner to replace Simo Dladla while Magesi are without a coach after Owen Da Gama exit last week.

“It is not easy to get work, but yeah, it is nothing yet,” Hunt added.

"These days you don't apply for jobs. Clubs know what they want and you should not be applying for jobs."
