Mohau Nkota unfazed by Saudi Arabia move

The 20-year-old attacker, who emerged as a promising talent at Pirates, has already linked up with his new teammates for their pre-season tour in Portugal - where he'll now share a dressing room with Dutch international and former Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum.

Speaking to SuperSportbet, Nkota expressed calm confidence about the big step in his career.

"I don't think there's pressure on me to go there. I just want to live the life, work hard, and stay true to who I am. I'm happy about the move to Saudi Arabia - I'll continue doing what I've always done,' says the winger.

While the switch to the Middle East opens a new chapter, Nkota remains unsure if it will boost his chances of a national team recall ahead of this year's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco. Still, he made it clear he's ready to seize any opportunity.

"I don't know if I'll make the Bafana squad. I got a chance in the friendly against Mozambique and delivered two assists," he noted.

"It's up to the coach. My job is to work - whether I get called up or not, I'm going to give my all and make sure I deliver."

Nkota's move to Al-Ettifaq marks a significant step in his young career, and his focus remains firmly on growth and consistency on foreign soil.
