McCarthy wants to make Kenya to proud ahead Bafana Bafana tests
Kenya coach Benni McCarthy has urged his side to compete for positive results when they face South Africa in back-to-back 2027 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Lyon winger is racing against time to regain fitness after missing Thursday's UEFA Europa League encounter against Real Sociedad, raising concerns about his availability for Ghana's November international commitments.
According to Ghanasoccernet.com, the 23-year-old sustained a muscle strain, with his condition also putting his participation in Lyon's Ligue 1 meeting with Brest on Sunday in doubt.
Lyon interim manager Jorge Maciel confirmed that both Nuamah and defender Moussa Niakhate missed the European fixture through muscle problems, although he remains hopeful they could return this weekend.
"They've suffered muscle strains," Maciel said.
"We hope to have them back for Sunday's match in Brest. We're waiting for an update; we don't yet know if they'll be fit or not. We'll see how things are progressing when we return to Lyon."
Nuamah's situation will be closely monitored by Ghana interim coach Kim Lars Bjokergren, who will be hoping to have the attacker available for the double-header against Somalia.
The Black Stars desperately need positive results after losing their opening two Group C qualifying matches against Ivory Coast and The Gambia, making the upcoming fixtures particularly important.
Losing Nuamah would be another setback, considering the winger's importance following his return from a lengthy injury layoff.
He suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in April 2025 before returning to competitive action in May 2026.
The attacker has since impressed during the 2026/27 campaign, registering six goals and one assist in 13 appearances across all competitions for club and country.
With no confirmed recovery timeline, Ghana will have to wait for further medical updates before knowing whether one of their key attacking options will be available.
