Arsenal return to winning ways in the Premier League after thrashing Leeds United

After falling to defeat against Manchester United at home last weekend and gap reduced to just four points, the Gunners needed to make a statement.

They started well at Leeds and took the lead when Martin Zubimendi headed after 27 minutes.

The visitors took a 2-0 advantage into the halftime break when home goalkeeper Karl Darlow unfortunately scored an own goal.

Leeds had a sustained spell of pressure after the interval but Arsenal doused those flames before Viktor Gyokeres found the net for the third goal.

The Gunners wrapped up the contest when Gabriel Jesus came off the bench to score a fourth four minutes from full-time.

Manchester City and Aston Villa can reduce the gap on the table back to four points with both teams having fixtures on Sunday.
