Borussia Dortmund seek loan move for young left-back Almugera Kabar

Despite fending off interest from European giants Barcelona and AC Milan, Dortmund recently extended Kabar's contract until 2028, underlining their long-term faith in the German youth international.

However, opportunities in the first team are currently limited following the arrival of Swedish left-back Daniel Svensson.

Under new manager Niko Kovac, Kabar has featured for just 12 minutes, prompting the club to seek a temporary move for the youngster's development.

A key condition in any potential deal is Dortmund's refusal to include a purchase option, clearly signalling that Kabar remains in their long-term plans. The club are keen to ensure he gains valuable senior experience without severing ties permanently.

Kabar began his footballing journey at SV Husten 09 before moving to Hammer SpVg. At age 13, he joined Dortmund's prestigious youth academy in July 2019.

He progressed through the ranks from the U14s to U19s, where he captained the team during the 2023/24 season. In that campaign, he made 22 appearances, scored twice, and registered one assist.
