Report: Borussia Dortmund demand mega fee as top clubs chase Karim Adeyemi

According to German outlet Bild, the Black and Yellows would only consider negotiations if a club tables an offer between 65 and 70 million euros.

Adeyemi, whose contract runs until 2027, has caught the eye of Juventus, Newcastle United, and Chelsea, with all three clubs reportedly keen to secure his signature.

The German international's explosive pace and versatility across the front line, where he notched 12 goals and 11 assists in 41 games last season, have made him a hot prospect.

Dortmund's steep valuation comes in the wake of losing winger Jamie Gittens to Chelsea for 65 million euros and a long-term injury to young talent Julien Duranville.

These setbacks have left the squad thin on the flanks, making Adeyemi a key part of coach Niko Kovac's plans. The club also see him as a vital partner to striker Serhou Guirassy in their attacking setup.

Despite interest from top clubs, Adeyemi has expressed his affection for Dortmund. "I love this club. I was a fan even as a young player, and so was my family,” he said during the recent FIFA Club World Cup. However, he left the door open to a potential move, adding, "You never know what life brings.”

Juventus have reignited their pursuit after failing to land Adeyemi last summer, with reports suggesting they are preparing an offer around 45 to 50 million euros, though this falls short of Dortmund's demands.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, who have already signed Gittens, and Newcastle, seeking an X-factor for their attack, are ready to battle it out but may balk at the high cost.

Dortmund's management, led by sporting director Sebastian Kehl and managing director Lars Ricken, are focused on squad stability. They have rejected lower bids, including a 55-million-euro approach from Chelsea, and are reportedly eyeing PSV's Johan Bakayoko as a potential reinforcement rather than letting Adeyemi go.
