Brandon Thomas-Asante receives late call-up for Ghana

The 26-year-old is a replacement for Inaki Williams, who was injured turning out for Athletic Club against Mallorca in La Liga at the weekend.

Thomas-Asante has been in good form this season, netting five goals for the Sky Blues in nine Championshp outings.

His brace in Saturday's 5-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday saw Coventry move top of the Championship standings.

He has previously made four appearances for the Black Stars, who face the Central African Republic and Comoros in their final two World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana are currently top of Group I with 19 points from eight games, three clear of second-placed Madagascar.
