Kaizer Chiefs bolster attack with Khanyisa Mayo signing
Kaizer Chiefs have underlined their intent to restore past glory by securing the services of former Cape Town City striker Khanyisa Mayo.
The 30-year-old former Al Ahly forward joins the Citizens after one season with the Algerian Ligue 1 side where he netted two goals and provided one assist in 15 matches in all competitions.
City are currently competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship following their relegation last season and occupy 13th place with two points from their opening two games.
In a bid to strengthen their squad, the club announced the arrival of former Kaizer Chiefs attacker Keagan Dolly in recent days, and have now snapped up experienced striker Bwalya, who also counts Nkana FC, El Gouna and Al-Nahda as some of his former teams.
A club statement read: "Cape Town City is pleased to welcome Congolese striker Walter Bwalya to the City family.
“He's here. He's City. Walter Bwalya is Royal Blue.”
