Clinton Larsen starts new job at Venda FC

The former Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows mentor was most recently in charge of Premier Soccer League side Magesi.

He led the club to the South African top-flight, and guided them to Carling Knockout Cup victory over Mamelodi Sundowns last season, before stepping away from his post.

Venda endured a difficult 2025/25 season as they ended in 14th place in the National First Division.

They have since decided to reinvigorate the club with the signing of Larsen, who takes over from JDR Stars-bound Stanford Nkoane, and assistant Solly Luvhengo.

Part of a Venda statement read: "Dawn of a new era.

"Venda Football Club and its Academy are pleased to announce the appointment of Head Coach and Academy Director, Mr Clinton Larsen, and Mr Solly Luvhengo as his assistant.

"Coach Larsen will announce his technical team in due course."
